The eHub HTML5 reader makes use of some of the latest browser technology. Unfortunately, older browsers sometimes lack this feature, which is necessary to the use our reader. If HTML5 canvas support is not detected, we'll automatically degrade to a feature-limited Flash-based reader, however user-experience will be impacted.
To optimize content delivery, our reader requests only those pages within an ebook that you are currently viewing or are predicted to view in the near future. This requires both your browser and network to support HTTP Range headers. If support is not detected, our reader will gracefully degrade to a streaming delivery, but this may impact load times when opening our content, especially if jumping ahead by multiple pages at a time.
